Nicole Brugger-Dethmers (A Touch of Sand) received an English degree from Hope College and currently is pursuing an MFA from Hollins University. Previously, she had a short story for young adults published. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and two cats.

Noree Cosper (The Flower of Hell) loves reading, writing and games. She enjoys creating fiction with a supernatural quality. A character she created for a role-playing game inspired The Flower of Hell, her debut story. Noree resides in Texas with her four roommates.

M.C. DeMarco (Sympathy From the Devil) read Paradise Lost in high school and still retains her sympathy for fallen angels. A graduate of the Odyssey Fantasy Writing Workshop, she lives in Brookline, Mass., where she writes speculative fiction after hours. K. Stoddard Hayes (The Fisherman's Wife) is an entertainment writer who has published hundreds of articles, interviews and essays about fantasy and science fiction on screen. Her library of Irish history, mythology and literature fills a bookcase.

Kevin Hosey (Rain) is an author, editor and designer. His short stories Seven and Seven and Demon appeared in the Star Trek Strange New Worlds anthologies from Simon and Schuster. This November, his story, Cure, will appear in the book, Hint Fiction, from publisher W.W. Norton. Currently he is co-editing Paramourtal and finishing the latest draft of a horror novel. Elizabeth Ireland (Dark Legacy) is a former associate professor of theater. She was a quarter-finalist and a semi-finalist for the Nicholl Fellowship in screenwriting sponsored by AMPAS. Her nonfiction work, Women of Vision: Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Lives, was published in 2008. Currently, she is writing her first novel, a metaphysical mystery set during the golden age of Spiritualism in America.

Rebecca Rhielle (Of Fate and Fire) was born and raised outside of Dallas, Texas, and still calls it home. She shares the craziness of daily life with her partner, two children, four cats, two dogs and a fish. Rebecca is all about the chaos. Evelyn Welle (The Underlying Beat) began her writing career as Poet Laureate of the Fifth Grade. While earning an English and journalism degree at Texas Christian University, she won two poetry awards. Evelyn is a meticulous publication and website writer and editor. In 2005, she won second place in a Romance Writers of America contest. Evelyn and her family live in north Texas.

Kelly Wisdom (The Prince and the Spoon) spends her summers in Roanoke, Va., as an MFA student in the Children's Literature program at Hollins University. For the remainder of the year, she resides in Mooresville, N.C., and teaches English at Mitchell Community College. She lives in a small house on a big lake with two lazy dogs, two irascible cats and one attentive husband.

Danyen's Gift: Shards if Nihrel, Book One

Bayan Jalalizadeh was born and raised in Texas. This talented young author is nineteen years old and studies biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis along with his twin brother, Rohan. Bayan spends what little free time he has reading books, thinking, and writing about himself in the third person. He is an avid musician and a hopeful artist, and a life of frequent travel has inspired him to create lush fantasy worlds. Bayan's love of literature drove him to write this novel. He is now on the way to completing the next installment of the Shards of Nihrel trilogy.
